Adam Milstein has garnered two back to back awards for philanthropy and influence. In 2016, the Jerusalem Post said that Adam Milstein was among the 50 most influential Jews in the world today. He was given this honor by the Jerusalem Post largely because of his work with the Israeli-American Council and the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation. This year Milstein has been recognized as one of the top 200 philanthropists in the world based on social media presence and influence. Both of these distinctions highlight the fact that Adam Milstein is a highly influential and active philanthropist on the world stage.
Mr. Milstein is famous for creating the group known as the Israeli-American Council many years ago in California. It was originally designed to be a local organization that served the local Jewish community in the Los Angeles metro area. The group then expanded rapidly in California and then all over the United States. Today the Israeli-American Council has reached more than 5.5 million Jews in the United States and almost 500,000 Israeli-American Jews residing in the United States right now.
The mission of the Israeli-American Council is to foster a connection of American and Israeli-American Jews to the Jewish State of Israel. It also attempts to support the Jewish state politically and economically. Fostering friendship, cooperation and peace between Jews, non-Jewish Americans and Israelis is another key goal of the AIC which Milstein helped establish.
The other major philanthropic endeavor of Adam Milstein is the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation. Gila is the name of his wife. The Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation is a charitable foundation that Adam and his wife run and endow with funds. The charity then gives out money to various other charities and non-profit groups such as Prager University, Jerusalem University, Birth Right Isreal, Hasbara Fellowships and AIPAC. The main focus of the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation is to strengthen and support the Jewish people and the Jewish State of Israel. Adam Milstein also serves on the board of directors of several Jewish non-profits. These include Birth Right Israel, AIPAC, Jewish Funders Network and Hasbara Fellowships.
